When I was a little girl, I used to love watching my father bake - cookies, muffins, bread, cake. The joy of combining simple ingredients into something delicious has given me, my family and friends great joy over the years.

My maternal grandmother was a bead stringer and traveler. Grandma showed me how to string beads when I was a teen. We worked with materials she bought in Quartzite, Arizona from her favorite shops and beadmakers, and reused broken jewelry bits from junk stores. It was a thrill to make jewelry we could wear that afternoon!

Today, I continue to bake for family and friends, and every year friends and family received gifts of jewelry. I love to see my sparkly jewelry find a new owner! Enjoy!
